You are missing the point. I have had other teachers who share the same views that being that the set-up is the most important part of the swing. If you are misaligned in any area your chances of hitting a solid shot dimish quickly. When watching this video take note of his legs and hips and what they are doing during the back swing. Notice his shift in body weight as it relates to getting his weight moving foward. Just a tip.
What’s the hitting of the ball going to help you with? Totally unimportant. The driving of the ball and the ensuing flightpath are directly related to what he’s trying to tell you here, so you might start with a proper swing, the ball is the least of your worries.
