  1. @proprioceptive44 Oh,, He’s a Rapper/Producer. It’s from the song “Next Episode”

  2. @piccalocb Just out of interest who is Dre

  3. @proprioceptive44 Sounds like what Dre would say!!

  4. Put a sledge hammer in your hands and swing; you will dip and as a result compress and if your not dipping/compressing you will probably be slipping Ha Ha

  5. Dustin Johnson wears CPRIME. A Patented Performance Technology Bracelet. It Improves Strength, FLexibility, Balance, and Endurance. I purchased mine from this website mycprimecom/nanotechbracelet and its really helping my Golf game big time. I’m hitting the ball further and I feel more flexible in my Back Swing.

  6. @RetroJohnny1 Take a look at this video RJ… youtube com / watch?v=qc_aRCGi5Mw and then come back and talk to me. I took a look at your swing on your channel and you have some good moves in your swing and although it isn’t bad… i guarantee you would gain tons of distance and a better strike if you learned to lower properly in order to properly compress the golf ball at impact. Check out this instruction site for the best no nonsense instruction anywhere waynedefrancesco com

  7. Its a pointless argument for these hacks who have never looked at the best players in the world and drawn lines to see what 95% of them do. Yes.. there are anomalies but as a generality GOOD players lower. BTW. Faldo was 6’4” 250 lbs and only averaged 255 in the mid 90s during his prime. 15% less distance than the tour leaders. For a guy that size and that strong… that is short.

  8. @kjondrovik Faldo wasn’t short in his day. Dunno where people get this idea that he was a short hitter. He pretty much just chose to put a higher premium on accuracy.

  9. Dipping or squatting allows you to get lower in order to use the ground reactive forces to straighten the legs quickly near impact and release a ton of power. Think of a shot putter who squats and uses the leg muscles to get extra power to propel the shot. Not only does ‘jumping’ allow you to create more speed, it also shallows the strike too.

  10. @hockeysupasta4 there’s no need to be rude. Anyway I’ve looked at your swing, which actually helps my argument. Your heads bobs up a little on the backswing. You don’t dip ten feet like Dustin. So if your swing generates loads of power, which it looks like it does, you don’t need to dip massively on the backswing to crush it. Which is kinda my point.

  11. all you fuckers who think dipping is bad fuck you. you are stupid. if you dont do it you are not using your hips correctly for maximum power. just look at my swing.

  12. @kjondrovik it’s been fun debating with you. Nice to have a challenge :-)

  13. @kjondrovik We’re not talking about longest hitters. We’re talking about good players. Faldo had a far more dynamic swing in his prime. He ripped it. You’re probably just looking at footage from 2003 onwards. He wasn’t a powder puffer in his prime. Oh yes, and Faldo did compress in the downswing. My contention was that not all good players dip in the backswing. So I stand by my argument.

  14. @RetroJohnny1 You are right. Not all players lower in the backswing. But if you want to be a good ball striker with any sort of length you must have compression at some point. Yes Faldo was a great striker… but couldn’t hit it anywhere and got left behind with technology. Look at the longest hitters on tour. Watson, McIlroy, DJ, Garrigus and then tell me lowering isn’t a good thing? You are crazy. Ppl say lowering is a problem have not idea what a real golf swing is.

  15. @kjondrovik I’ve looked at Tiger’s swing and he doesn’t dip at all in the backswing. Yes around the transition and on the downswing. Dustin starts dipping half way through the backswing.

  16. @kjondrovik Not all good players dip in the backswing. Nick Faldo never dipped in the backswing and he’s one the greatest ball strikers ever, won six majors. Neither does Greg Norman. Yes they compress on the downswing/transition. Dustin hits it miles because he’s so gifted and strong, not a special ‘massive dip’ move in the backswing.

  17. @RetroJohnny1 Why don’t you do a little research… draw some lines on some swings… then come and talk to me. Hogan did it, Tiger does it… and they are no good right? Good players increase hip depth leading to the lowering of the head on their back swings and lower significantly on the downswing as they compress into the ground. This is one of the biggest myths in golf. keep you head level and you might be consistent but you will not hit it out of your shadow or with compression

  18. @kjondrovik not in the backswing then don’t. Yeah they do compress into the ball (and lose height) on the down-swing. But Dustin loses significant height in the back-swing. Not good.

  19. @sportsman214
Its actually easier for athletes to bow there left wrist instead of making it flat , because there hip turn is so powerful that the body will square up the clubface even though its bowed or closed at the top.

  20. @brown55061 Yeah all these young/newish guys are great : fowler, rickie, bubba, dustin. But there swings rely a lot on timing and if they have a bad day they cant compete. That bowed wrist at the top seems so unnatural and forced its bizarre.

  21. @sportsman214

I have that problem too and when I let my body do this I hit it about 25 yds farther with a driver, but it’s always a pull hook… 25 yds farther into the trees heh. Now that I’ve “fixed” this problem I’ve lost distance. I don’t play every day so it’s hard to time that kind of flip of the wrists like he does.

  22. all good players dip

  23. holy shit look at his bowed left wrist at the top of the swing!
